About Me
Hello! My name is Crystal, and I completed my undergraduate degree in Anthropology at Texas State University in 2014, with an internship at Audie Murphey Veterans Memorial Hospital at The Veterans Evidence-based Research, Dissemination, and Implementation Center. I earned my graduate degree in Social Work from Widener University with a trauma certification in 2022, completing an internship at New Braunfels Angels and Hope Hospice. I received my LMSW in January of 2022 and completed my LCSW in August 2025. My experiences include working in elementary schools in Essential Academics and Special Education for seven years, and participating in grief camps hosted by the Bereavement Center at Hope Hospice, including Family Night, Family Camp, and Youth Camp.
Through this work, I have completed training for youth and adult Mental Health First Aid, Safe Spaces, and Language Matters, and earned over 16 hours of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) training. I have completed training in EMDR for adults and children, as well as in sound-activated vestibular-visual and the use of sound in sensorimotor integrative treatment. I recently completed the Online Circle training through the IFS Institute. I was trained under a testing psychologist and am now a C-NDAAP (Certified Neurodiversity Affirming Assessment Provider). I work within a trauma-informed lens and often use IFS, Person-in-Environment Theory, and Family Systems Theory. I believe in empowering my clients while ensuring they feel safe, regardless of background.
I believe in continued cultural curiosity and being a lifelong learner.
I am married with two children, three fur babies, and two fur grandbabies. I enjoy meditating, reading, crocheting, and watching football (Go, Cowboys!).
